The critical minutes before paramedics arrive can mean the difference between life and death. Learn exactly what to do — and what NOT to do — while waiting for emergency services.

EMS response times average 7–10 minutes in Chicago. This course teaches bystanders and first responders how to stabilize a patient, gather critical information for paramedics, manage a scene safely, and hand off care effectively when EMS arrives. Covers cardiac, trauma, stroke, diabetic, and respiratory emergencies.
