AHA CPR certifications are valid for 2 years from the issue date. We recommend booking your renewal 2-4 weeks before expiration to avoid any gap in coverage. Some employers require current certification at all times, so plan ahead.

Yes, but with conditions. If your card expired within the last 30 days, you can still take a renewal course. If it has been more than 30 days, you will need to take the full initial certification class again. Check your card's expiration date and call us at (312) 761-4859 if you are unsure.

Absolutely. AHA renewal cards are identical to initial certification cards in terms of acceptance. Employers, hospitals, schools, and licensing boards cannot distinguish between renewal and initial certification. Both are fully valid for 2 years.

If your current CPR card is AHA-certified, we can renew it regardless of where you originally trained. If your card is from another organization (Red Cross, NSC, etc.), you may need to take the full AHA initial certification course.
